Alexander McCall Smith will take part in five events at this year’s Edinburgh International Book Festival, which runs from 14th-30th August.

   I attended Dr. McCall Smith’s interview at St. Andrews Church. We were told that 900 fans were in attendance. He charmed the crowd and had us all laughing as he recalled scenes from his novels. Of course I became tongue tied when my turn for a book signing came. Please let him know how much enjoyment his books have given to my family and me.
